Columbia Essays - 2007

These are the essays from Columbia. I will update their status as and when i get done with them.

Question 1 (750 words)
What are your short-term and long-term post-MBA goals? How will Columbia Business School help you achieve these goals?

Question 2 (500 words)
Leading in the global economy requires enabling high performance from a diverse set of employees, colleagues and partners. Tell us about a manager you’ve observed who enabled or inspired others to do their best work and analyze how this manager did it.

Question 3 (500 words)
In discussing Columbia Business School, Dean R. Glenn Hubbard remarked, “We have established the mindset that entrepreneurship is about everything you do.” Please discuss a time in your own life when you have identified and captured an opportunity.

Question 4 (250 words)
Please select and answer one of the following essay questions.
a. Please tell us what you feel most passionate about in life.
b. If you were given a free day and could spend it anywhere, in any way you choose, what would you do?

Question 5 (Optional)
Is there any further information that you wish to provide to the Admissions Committee? (Please use this space to provide an explanation of any areas of concern in your academic record or your personal history.)

i think columbia revised one of their essay questions. Are you aware ?

hey yes. This is V2.
Rechecked with the gsb site again to be sure. No surprises there :)

hey - u were right. The second essay is a new one. Found the essay and the info in clearadmit. Supposedly even the pdf that i had referred to has the wrong essay :(
