My $0.02 on the gift: I don't think bringing a holiday gift to the interviewer is a nice idea. I wouldn't do that. Remember - this is a person we are going to meet for the first time in our life :) It will be very odd to gift him/her something the very first time you meet the individual. Add to it the fact that the meeting is strictly for business purposes - the gift, in my opinion, just does not fit into the scheme of things :)
It will be perfect if you get to the business in hand and simply wish him for the holidays (perhaps during the farewell) :)
ho ho it is dangerous to give gift when u r out for business purposes. Leave alone the good effect, it would bring bad effects. Cheap & best: Have a nice day. Merry christmas.
Congratulations Iday. I have been following your blog for sometime and find the posts pretty informative. I really wish u all the best. I also plan to apply to Chicago GSB in R2 and have some questions. If you get the time, please do send me an email at fathima_mehra@yahoo.com
kool..that gives u a lot of time to prepare..probably more than you would ideally need :)
